What to Expect at Our Services and Reading Rooms

Christian Science church services are always open to everyone. They are conducted by Readers who have been elected by the membership.

Sunday Services

On Sundays, the sermon is the same in all Christian Science churches around the world. This sermon is known as the Bible Lesson, which is composed of a unique set of readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy that Christian Scientists study throughout the week.

Sunday School

Youth (up to age 20) typically prefer to attend Sunday School during the hour-long Sunday service. Small, interactive classes allow children to discover how the Bible remains practical today and how a spiritual foundation makes them stronger students, athletes, artists, and citizens. Childcare is available for infants and toddlers too young for Sunday School.

Wednesday Services

Our Wednesday meetings are different. There are readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy followed by the sharing of experiences, testimonies and remarks on Christian Science from those attending the meeting.

Wednesday Services

Don’t be surprised if there are moments of silence and prayer during this part of the meeting. People will share experiences of healing in their life as they feel inspired by Spirit. The other half of the meeting will be readings on a topic prepared by the First Reader.

We welcome you to find out for yourself how Christian healing is as relevant to our lives today as it was two millennia ago. Visit us at a church near you!

Reading Rooms

Reading Rooms are a resource for the community and welcome all. A Christian Science Reading Room provides not only a place to purchase books, music, and periodicals, but librarians are on hand to answer questions and help you in your study of the Bible, or you may simply wish to use this quiet place for study and prayer.
